During the demo, I focus on dark tree masses with a variety of mixes. We cover how to mix a gray sky color. As I paint I share visual concepts such as design, and priority (or focal area). Color mixes are described as are notes for watercolor artists. (The oil is painted very similar to how I would create a watercolor). In the student showcase we have different variations shown. Another great session with students!
Don't overthink the session and just get busy with paint. Be playful. In this session we talk about time management, stress to create and the pressure to 'finish' art. This is the opposite of that - just some fun with paint. If you decide to finish the painting great, if not we had fun creating! That's what it's all about.
