Join your Library friends for a NEW event... our first Open Studio Session!
Class will meet for our first "Final Friday" of the month open studio time.
I will be working on the city scene shown above and talk about how I take a painting larger from a study. I'll also be sharing how the painting has progressed. Many have asked about how I take a painting to the finished stage. What moves do I make, how do I know it's done, what is the big plan, etc. This art work was started on Art School Live (Eric Rhodes, with Kathleen Hudson as guest MC) last week.
Besides me sharing what I'm doing, the session is also about YOU and what you are working on. Students can share ideas, process and discussion. We will see how it goes. This is our first studio time, so I'll share a few guidelines... please limit sharing times & questions to a few minutes of air time so all can participate, (this is not the time for a personal in depth critique of your work). The general topic is finishing art, mid-process art and going bigger. Please relate comments and questions to this, OR the past few lessons on fall trees if we run out of things to talk about! I'll try to do some painting but things will be on Zoom, so resolution will be modest. Recording will be posted for 1 week.
