LESSON PLAN & SUPPLIES
Images: Images are included in the video. You may choose to work from your own reference. Good choices: beach, layered landscape, gardens. In zoom class we look at many examples. Then we create 6 small studies of a Tuscan landscape. The objective is to keep things moving along and walk you through how to grab an idea in the field. I then show students some of my successful studies and ones that did not turn out as well so we can see examples in action. Composition and design ideas are often done upon myreturning home.
Materials: 1) Sketchbook pencil or pen. 2) A small paint kit in media of your choice to make small 3x3" or 4x4" mini studies as shown in the video. (I use a watercolor kit.) Mini art lessons are in the program (also called "Humble studies") so check these out for more inspiration.
